Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Trinidad and Tobago to the UN, pays courtesy call on Minister of Community Development, Culture and the Arts
Trinidad and Tobago’s Ambassador to the United Nations & Specialized Agencies in Europe; Ambassador to Italy and Austria, Ms. Makeda Antoine-Cambridge, paid a courtesy call on Dr. the Honourable Nyan Gadsby-Dolly, Minister of Community Development, Culture and the Arts (MCDCA) at the Ministry’s Head Office, Nicholas Tower on Tuesday December 18, 2018.
The two met to discuss the various community and artistic based projects of the MCDCA with a view to determining what linkages can be made between the European based missions and Trinidad and Tobago. The ultimate goal being to promote Trinidad and Tobago’s heritage and culture on the world stage.
Minister Gadsby-Dolly, welcomed the opportunity to share with Ambassador Antoine-Cambridge some of the key issues addressed by the Ministry in the last year. She also discussed upcoming projects for 2019 with a focus on CARIFESTA XIV, the Premier Caribbean Festival of Arts. The Ministry’s hope is that this country’s Missions the world over will encourage nationals and residents of their representative countries to visit Trinidad and Tobago and participate in the festival in August.
Ambassador Antoine-Cambridge applauded the objectives of the MCDCA and has pledged her full support.
